What is Pilates?
Pilates is not just a way of exercising, but also a way of controlling the muscles through the mind. It focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support of the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles. It's thought to be as an excellent postnatal exercise.

As Joseph Pilates (founder of the Pilates technique) quoted:
“In 10 sessions you will feel the difference,
 In 20 sessions you will see the difference,
 In 30 sessions you will have a brand new body.”
